About Me
My name is Laikul Choudhury, and I am running for City Councillor in Ward 20, Scarborough Southwest.
For more than 20 years I have served this community. I know our streets, our families and our neighbours, and I know what we need to move forward: safer roads, real opportunities for our young people, responsible spending of your tax dollars, better city services and safer neighbourhoods.
I'm ready to listen, ready to serve, and ready to get things done. Together, we can build a stronger Scarborough Southwest.

Your contribution goes further. Contributions pay for the lawn signs, literature and door-knocking that win a ward campaign. This campaign participates in the City of Toronto Contribution Rebate Program, so eligible contributors receive a substantial portion back from the City.

Before you give: the rules, plainly
- Contributors must be individuals normally resident in Ontario. Corporations and unions cannot contribute.
- The maximum contribution to any one councillor candidate is $1,200.
- Contributions of $25 or less are not eligible for a rebate.
- You claim the rebate yourself from the City by December 30, 2027. Payments are expected to go out in early 2028.
Rebate amounts shown are calculated under the City of Toronto Contribution Rebate Program based on a contributor's total eligible monetary contributions to participating candidates. If you contribute to more than one participating candidate, your rebate may differ from the examples above. Contributors must receive and complete the official Contribution Rebate Receipt & Application Form. Toronto Elections must receive 2026 rebate claims by December 30, 2027.
